History of Narayana Hrudayalaya College of Nursing
Narayana Hrudayalaya was established in 2001 and since then has become one of the world largest cardiac care hospitals.The sole endeavor of Narayana Hrudayalaya is to propagate equitable distribution of world-clas health care.A vision of our chairman Dr.Devi Shetty,that is being achieved through health schemes that cover the needy of farming populationi urban and rural India,thus catering to the health needs of common man.Our hospital has received the ISO 2000:9001 and NABH accredition and is now preparing itself for Joined Commission International(JCI) accreditation.This in itself provides our students a head start with a clinical area,that maintains standards for clinical practice.The hospitals is now becoming a multispeciality (Health City),Catering to a large group of patients.
Philosophy
Narayana Hrudayalaya College of Nursing believes that nursing is a profession involving excellence in service, education and administration. We respect basic human dignity of individuals irrespective of their background, caste or creed. We believe man is created in the image of God and is worthy of respect. He has Physical, Psychological, Spiritual and Social needs and meeting these needs promotes an integrated and healthy person. We believe that nursing education should be community need based and involve developing critical judgment in providing care at the Preventive, Promotive, Curative and rehabilitative levels.
AIMS
The Management, Principal and the Faculty aim at 1.Developing the students knowledge based on theory and concepts of nursing, medicine, allied health science and social sciences. 2.Developing a positive attitude towards nursing practice, in the process develop a positive and healthy personality. 3.Developing skills in providing comprehensive care at Primary, Secondary and Tertiary levels applying nursing process.
